Here I give a general overview of the Paleo diet and how I feel about “diets” in general.

In short, the Paleo diet takes us back to eating in a simpler way, like cavemen. If a caveman couldn’t eat it, then we shouldn’t either. Today’s modern diet is filled with highly processed, low nutrient foods that contributes to weight gain as well as, a multitude of health problems. Many people have found much success with weight loss and have relieved themselves of health problems following this diet. I think it’s a good diet to use as a baseline. I’m all for programs that eliminate processed foods. But in reality, to follow this strictly is very difficult (though some people can). Occasionally you’ll want some of your favorite foods, like ice cream, for me! As with any program, you have to find your own balance and what works for you and your goals!
